Water Damage Restoration: what will my home insurance cover?

A standard homeowners insurance policy may cover repairs for mold and water damage, but it depends on the source. For instance, you could be reimbursed if mold or water damage occurs due to a plumbing issue, water heater leak or roof damage by a standard home insurance policy. However, damage caused by flooding would not be covered because a standard homeowners policies does not cover you include flood damage. Flood damage is typically only covered by flood insurance.
